First thing |
Those who wake early can enjoy hot drinks in their cabins & then have a hearty cooked breakfast in preparation for the day. A packed breakfast to enjoy en route to the river can also be provided if preferred. |

Waders on, hook up with your guide for the day and depart for the river. Pioneer Fishing guides will ensure that you are taken to the best salmon and steelhead fishing spots on the Skeena, it's tributaries or the Kalum - some will be widely known however their local expertise may also take you to some beautiful little known hotspots. Fish for salmon or steelhead on some of the best rivers in the World. We have guides that specialize in fly fishing but can also advise on effective gear fishing, just let us know which you prefer - or try both. |
| Lunch | Usually a packed lunch is enjoyed on the river but at times the guides may cook up something special on the bank; Then continue fishing for those trophy fish. |

After a full day fishing on the river return to Pioneer Fishing Lodge, perhaps stopping at a local pub or fishing tackle shop in Terrace on the way. A hot shower & a snooze in your cabin or time to socialize in the main lodge, the choice is yours. |
| 7 pm | Dinner is served - then time to relax on the comfortable sofas in front of a roaring log fire and exchange fishing experiences. If you like you can try tying a few flies to try out the next day at the fly tying table - or just mosey across to your cabin to chill out and have an early night. Fall asleep in a warm and cosy double bed - dream of all those wonderful salmon and steelhead to hook tomorrow! |
