Booking and cancellation policy

It is best to book 6 months in advance to ensure that you will have the opportunity to enjoy our guided Steelhead, Salmon and Trout Fishing and at least 3 months in advance for Eco/Activity breaks.

Our booking policy for guided fishing and eco-tours in 2010/11 is as follows:

• A deposit of 50% is required to secure your reservation upon booking.
• Deposits are valid only for the calendar year in which your trip is booked.
• Full settlement is required 60 days prior to arrival date.
• If cancellation is received within 30 days of full settlement 25% will be refunded.
• Cancellation within 30 days of arrival = no refund.
• All deposits and final payments are only valid for the calendar year (March 15 to November 15), after which all deposits and final payments are forfeit.
• No penalty will be incurred if the client has an immediate like for like replacement at the time of cancellation. This must be within the same calendar year and new dates acceptable to Pioneer Fishing Lodge.

Lodging and accommodation

A credit card number will be taken on receiving your booking. This card will be pre-authorized but no charge collected. In the event of a cancellation received within 2 weeks of your stay, or a 'no show' a charge of one nights accommodation, or 50% of total cost - whichever is greatest, will be made.  No penalty will be incurred if the client has an immediate like for like replacement at the time of cancellation. This must be within the same calendar year and new dates acceptable to Pioneer Fishing Lodge.

Pioneer Fishing Lodge is a small business and cancellations are costly. In order to protect trip payments cancellation insurance is available at most travel agencies, and can be purchased locally in Terrace through Elan Travel.
