Meet your hosts!

Jezz Crosby

As an avid outdoor person, Jezz loves to fish - espcially  for steelhead, trout and salmon. His dream was to own and run a top class fishing lodge - now it is a reality!

His motivation and satisfaction is to provide international fishing guests with the highest quality fishing experience and to see them return year after year to Pioneer Fishing Lodge and the Skeena.  A keen fly fisherman, Jezz spends most of his spare time out on the water where he is honing his skills and gaining experience to guide future clients on the Skeena and it's tributaries.

When not fishing (i.e. when it's REALLY cold) Jezz enjoys tying his own flies, curling and skiing.

Pip Crosby

Married to Jezz, Pip has thrown herself with enthusiasm into life in the Canadian back country. She loves life in The Great Bear Rainforest and takes a keen interest in the native wildlife. Pip has fished for salmon and trout in England, Ireland and Canada and salt water fished in Europe and the US.

Her main hobby is her horse, a Welsh Cob x English Thoroughbred called Tom, who travelled from England to Canada, as did the cat & dog! She is also an enthusiastic amateur photographer.

Pip is in charge of house keeping, book keeping, the fruit, flower and veggie garden, the website and answering the 'phones, but when there's time she loves peaceful days on the river, usually with a fly rod in one hand and a camera in the other.
